A Sign of the Times! Rainforest Cafe to Rebrand this Fall
In shocking news today, Rainforest Cafe CEO Steven Schussler announced that the Rainforest Cafe you know and love will be no more come this fall. While the news may seem despicable at first, Rainforest enthusiasts shouldn’t fear for the loss of their beloved restaurant experience. In fact, the Rainforest experience won’t be touched at all once you enter through the front door. Schussler went on to explain that the rebrand is in name alone. Starting October 1st, Rainforest Cafe will be officially rebranded as Oklahoma City Bombing Cafe.
As you can expect, the news was followed by a plethora of questions regarding the controversial name change. When pressed, Schussler explained that whenever he hears the words “Oklahoma City Bombing”, he immediately thinks of the tragedy that occurred in Oklahoma City on April 19th, 1995. With this rebrand he hopes that over time, when people hear “Oklahoma City Bombing” they’ll think of Rainforest Cafe’s famous flatbread or refreshing Coronarita instead of that horrible day in mid-April.
The next eight questions all surrounded the thunderstorms that occur during the meal. The gist is that they will not change, and your Rainforest Cafe experience won’t be altered in the slightest once you put the new name in your GPS. Things are moving fast, with some locations beginning construction as early as July 1st.
